What is a heat pump and why?
A heat pump works on the concept of an airconditioning unit in reverse to allow for the function of heating water, this is done by connecting to the geyser and switching off the 4KW electric element within the geyser.
How does it save electricity?
Electricity saving is thanks to the draw on the main electricity supply becoming an average 1KW vs the 4KW electric element inside the geyser.
